What is regenerative agriculture? Regenerative Agriculture is farming in a way that is not just sustainable, but actually improves the land farmed over time, getting better year after year. It is achieved through management practices, and working with the natural cycles the way they were designed. This means that we protect our soils and never spray or treat anything with any artificial or harmful (even if it is listed as safe for organic use, did you know many organic pesticides are still very poisonous and require special handling when used?) It also means raising animals in the way they were created, cows should eat grass, pigs should have a place to root through the soil, and chickens should be free to eat bugs! There is a natural symbiotic relationship between plants and animals, micro organisms and plants, and of course all these interact with us, the Farmer and the consumer. We think these practices are of the utmost importance to the health of our soil, our plants, animals and to us! We seek to grow in these practices to heal the land and nourish our future.
